Gained 1lb (44½lbs) this week despite doing exactly what I did last week. I tracked everything and probably ate better and made better choices and yet I gained. Are hormones to blame again?
Week 58 - 16th April '11
Oh my Giddy Aunt!! I tracked everything that I ate, but still ate a lot of what I knew I shouldn't. And yet, I lost 4½lbs!!! That brought me back to 45½lbs lost! Very very happy!
Week 57 - 9th April '11
I managed to stay mainly on track but wasnt' too strict with myself as I knew that I was not going to be attending the meeting due to prior commitments. The quarterly team training in Leeds (4 hours drive away!) was great fun, but the food provided was not exactly WW friendly. The cupcake - enormous as it was - was very very good.
Week 56 - 2nd April '11
I paid for missing those classes as I gained 2½lbs (41lbs). I realised during the meeting that this new ProPoints plan is just not clicking. I half considered just going back to the old plan, but part of me really doesn't want to admit defeat. I sat after the meeting and had a chat with my leader, so hopefully this new plan might start making more sense now. I can hope!!
March Update Photos
Week 54 & 55 - 19th & 26th March '11
I'm not sure what happened cause I missed two weeks and can't remember why. Oops! There must have been a reason though, just can't think what it was.
Week 53 - 12th March '11
Oh dear, I put 1½lbs ON this week (43½lbs). I'm not sure why as I was tracking well and had been to the Gym and to a swimming session. And yet, I've gained. I'm gutted! The only thing I can think of is that the hormones are affecting things. I hope it is that, cause if it isn't.... I have no idea what went wrong. Had a Domino's Pizza last night but I'm back on the wagon again today so hopefully I'll have a loss this coming week!
Week 53 - 5th March '11
Happy Happy!! I got back on track this week. I wrote all my food down, I weighed everything and I just DID IT. No lying to myself, no snacking without writing it down, much less snacking general actually and doing more exercise. It has paid off as yesterday the scales said 3lbs off!! (45lbs)
Here's my photo update for the month of February....
I'm hoping for another good week and another good weight loss. I'm only 4lbs away from 3½stone lost!
Playing Catch-up (Part 4)
Wk40 - 0lbs off (42lbs)
Wow. Considering how much I ate at the Convention and what it was I was utterly amazed that I hadn't gained weight that week! The gala reception was lovely and the food was divine, but so laden with cream I felt like I was gaining weight just by looking at it! A meal out on the last night with a whole group of ladies also put my weight loss in serious jeopardy and yet, somehow I still managed not to gain any weight. Phew!
Wk41 - 1½lbs off (43½lbs)
Wk42 - 3½lbs off (47lbs)
Wk43 - Christmas Day
Wk44 - New Years Day
Wk45 - 3lbs ON (44lbs)
Wk46 - 2lbs off (46lbs)
46lbs lost and I was extremely happy with my progress. I looked like this.....
(I love crazy angle shots!!)
I'd gone from a dress size 26 to a 16! I could fit back in my wedding dress and I was the thinnest I'd been in over 11 years. Good, right? Wrong!! I felt so good about myself that I completely lost the plot. I started thinking those "I feel great, I don't need to go anymore" thoughts... and the "I'm sure I can do this on my own" thoughts. Big mistake!
Wk47 - Wk51 - Missed!
Yup, those thoughts were there. I skipped the classes. I felt myself gaining weight. The trousers got a little too tight and I had to undo the top button. I felt fat.... and so I ate. Stupid, stupid woman! I blogged my despair here and so many of you came along to kick my bum and get me motivated again. Thank you so much!!
So, I headed back to the meeting just in time for Wk52. A whole year of weight loss and I'm back there again eating humble pie and trying to get back on track. And the results?
Wk52 - 4lbs ON (42lbs).
Wow, finally we are all caught up! Thanks for reading through all this, it's been a marathon session. I am very proud of what I've accomplished. Thanks to you guys too for helping me get back on track again. I really really appreciate it! Now that we've caught up I will be posting on this page once a week with my results for the week. Don't forget to come and visit!

Wk38 - Missed
Wk39 - Missed.
Whoa!! I missed two weeks in a row! No need to panic though. The first week I missed it due to working at a large Craft fair for my new venture and the second week I was attending our Annual Convention with 300 other crafting ladies. I felt brilliant...
I got to chat to the Founder of the company...
.... and I even got to wear a gorgeous evening gown for the gala event!
Never in my life would I have believed that I could wear a dress like that. Certainly at the beginning of the year I wouldn't even have walked into the shop that dress was bought in! It was a skinny persons shop and I just didn't go in because it was too depressing to look at all the clothes I could never hope to fit into!
Playing Catch-up (Part 2)
Wow, looking back at that I suddenly realise how well I actually did last year! I'm amazed to see how much I lost in those 23 weeks and how few times I actually gained any weight. I have found that sometimes it is very encouraging to stop, look back and take stock. So, here goes for some more figures...
Wk24 - 1lb off (30½lbs)
Wk25 - 1lb ON (29½lbs)
Now, I know that those two weeks cancel each other out. However, I want to explain what I was doing for those two weeks. We were on our summer holiday!
Living in one of these!
.... and eating out an awful lot, having ice creams cause it was hot, having lots of barbeques and generally eating lots of stuff I wouldn't eat at home. In large quantities! However, even though I wasn't home I went to the local library to look up my local meeting and drove 35 minutes to make sure that I weighed in! Dedicated or what?! Still it was good. I got to meet a whole new group of Weight Watchers and I had a fabulous holiday. My weight stayed the same but I'm really happy with the result considering that the week I got back to my regular meeting there was another lady there who was returning from her holidays to find that she'd gained 8lbs!! 1lbs off and 1lb on I can definitely live with.
Playing catch-up (Part 1)

In the Beginning
Like a lot of people, I am seriously over weight. Unlike a lot of people, I have decided to do something about it. This page will be a place for me to put weekly updates about my weight loss, weigh in totals and I might also add some other random posts concerning my battle with the bulge! I am also intending on posting my results for all of last year's weigh in sessions too!
This is how I looked at the beginning of my weight loss journey. December 2009/January 2010
These are here to serve as a reminder to myself of what I never want to be again. Ever. I'm determined that I will do this and get to my goal so I can live a fitter, healthier and happier life with my family.
